Terms and Conditions of the "Ackermans Account Card – Settle your Account Balance" Competition
- The promoters of the Competition are Ackermans, a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd, Ackermans Namibia (Pty) Ltd and Ackermans Botswana (Pty) Ltd respectively (collectively referred to herein as “the Promoters”).
- The name of the Competition is “Ackermans Account Card – Settle your Account Balance” (“the Competition").
- The Competition will run from Tuesday, 6 March 2025 until Wednesday, 2 April 2025 (both days included) ("the Competition Period").
- The Competition is only open to customers within South Africa, Namibia and Botswana (“Participating Countries”).
- Customers who make a purchase at any Ackermans on their Ackermans account in Participating Countries during the Competition Period (“Qualifying Purchase”), will automatically be entered into the Competition (“Participants”) as follows:
1. Each Qualifying Purchase will result in a Competition entry for the account holder; and
2. Qualifying Purchases to the value of R500 / N$500 / P500 or more per purchase, will result in an additional Competition entry for the account holder.
- Entry is free and Participants may enter multiple times. Participants may only win one prize in this Competition irrespective of the number of entries.
- Participants stand a chance to have their account balances as at the date of the respective winners draw, settled in full.
- Fifty (50) winners will be randomly selected via a computer operated draw on 8 April 2025.
- By accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The Promoters reserves the right to exclude a Participant from this Competition or to withhold payment of a prize to a winner should the Promoters become aware that a Participant is:
1. a director, member, business partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Pepkor group of companies, its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition;
2. a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified in 10.1 above.
- All prizes in this competition are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash.
- Winners will be notified on the day of the Competition draws via SMS to the cell phone number on record for their Ackermans account. If winners cannot be reached, their Ackermans Account balance amount will still be settled in full.
- The Promoters do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this Competition.
- The Promoters reserve the right to refuse the payment of a prize to any winner, regardless of the successful entry into the Competition, who it decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the terms and conditions of this Competition, or who has participated herein using suspected fraudulent means or dishonest information.
- The Promoters reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoters and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoters.
