Bright Light Centre started as a small initiative, operating from the founder’s lounge and offering early childhood care and education to just ten children. Through the continuous support of the Ackermans Ububele programme, the centre has grown significantly, welcoming more families and expanding its reach.
In response to growing demand, Bright Light Centre took the bold step of expanding their facilities by adding a Wendy house. But this was only the beginning. With careful financial management and the support of Ackermans Ububele Schools, the centre upgraded its facilities from a Wendy house to a brick-built structure – without relying on external subsidies.
This transition marked a significant milestone for Bright Light Centre, improving both the physical environment and the standard of early learning offered. Today, the centre provides a nurturing, high-quality learning experience for more children, demonstrating the power of dedication, community support, and thoughtful planning.
